Reconnecting to Xero

From time to time we may need to request additional permissions from your Xero account, or remove permissions that are no longer needed. This typically happens when we release new features — for example, when we introduced Annature Payments, we needed access to invoices and bank transactions that weren't part of the original connection.

When this happens, we'll notify you in Annature and ask you to reconnect the integration to reauthorise access. Unfortunately these updated permissions aren't optional — they're required for the integration to continue working. If you don't reconnect when prompted, your Xero integration will stop working after a period of time.

How to reconnect

  1. In Annature, go to Settings and select Integrations.

  2. Find Xero in the list and click Reconnect.

  3. You'll be taken to Xero where you'll see a permissions screen, review the requested access and click Continue with 1 organisation.

  4. You'll be redirected back to Annature and the integration will resume as normal.

Any notifications prompting you to reconnect will be removed from your dashboard once you've completed the process.
