Anchors let you pre-mark spots in your source document where Annature fields should be placed. When you upload a document containing those anchors, Annature reads them and drops the correct field on top — no manual placement, no matter how long the document is.
This is especially useful when:
You have access to the underlying template that generates your documents (e.g. a quote template, engagement letter template, or invoice template).
The length of the document varies each time it's generated (line items expand, terms shift down the page, signature panels move).
You want fields to always land in the right place regardless of pagination.
The video walks through the full setup using a quote as an example — from adding anchors to your source template, through to creating a template in Annature and sending an envelope with the fields automatically placed.
