Once your Xero integration is connected, you can import your Xero contacts into your Annature address book. Depending on how many contacts you have, the import can take up to 10 minutes.
In Annature, go to Settings and select Integrations.
Find Xero in the list and click Import contacts.
Choose whether to share the imported contacts with your whole organisation or a single group (see below).
We'll begin importing your contacts. Depending on how many contacts you have, this can take up to 10 minutes.
For each contact we bring in their full name, email address, and mobile number. Because Annature stores mobile numbers rather than general phone numbers, we look specifically at the dedicated Mobile number field in Xero (found under a contact's business information). If that field is empty, we'll fall back to the Phone number field instead.
It's worth checking your Xero contacts if mobile numbers are important to you — if neither field is populated, no phone number will be imported for that contact.
When you click Import contacts, you can choose how the imported contacts are shared. By default, contacts are shared with your whole organisation, meaning everyone in your Annature account will have access to them. If you'd prefer to limit access, you can choose to share them with a single group instead.
This setting applies to the entire import, so if you need contacts shared differently across groups, you'll need to run separate imports.
Notes: Contacts imported from Xero will appear in your Annature address book regardless of whether they have an email address. However, you'll need to add an email address before you can send an envelope to that contact.
