This video covers how checkboxes work in Annature, including single checkbox options, grouping multiple checkboxes together, and applying validation rules to control how recipients interact with them.
When working with a single checkbox, you can configure the following:
Required — The recipient must check the box to complete the envelope.
Pre-checked — The checkbox is already selected when the recipient opens the envelope.
Read only — The recipient can see the checkbox and its state but cannot change it.
When you add multiple checkboxes to a document, you can highlight them and group them using the options on the right-hand side. Once grouped, validation options become available.
Validation lets you control how many checkboxes a recipient must select within a group:
Minimum — The recipient must select at least a certain number.
Maximum — The recipient cannot select more than a certain number.
Exactly — The recipient must select a specific number.
Setting validation to exactly one effectively turns your checkboxes into radio buttons, where only a single option can be selected. This is useful for scenarios like selecting a payment method, choosing a plan, or answering a multiple-choice question.
