When you connect Annature to Xero, we ask for permission to access certain parts of your Xero account. This page explains exactly what we request access to and why, so you can make an informed decision before authorising the connection.
Below is a breakdown of each permission and how we use it.
We request read and write access to your Xero contacts. We use read access to import your contacts into Annature and keep them in sync automatically. Write access is not currently used — we've included it to support future improvements to the integration.
We request read and write access to your Xero invoices. We use read access as part of Annature Payments — when you add a payment request to an envelope, you can select from your existing Xero invoices and we'll pull in the amount due, due date, and reference number automatically. We use write access to mark an invoice as paid in Xero once a payment has been completed via Annature, closing the loop between your signed document and your accounting records.
We request read-only access to your bank transactions and payments. Payments made via Annature are processed by our payments gateway, Pinch, and payouts typically take three business days to arrive. These permissions allow us to confirm when a payout has landed in your bank account. We only request read access here — we never write to your bank transactions or payment records.
We use the data we access through Xero only in the ways described on this page. We do not use your Xero data for business analytics, to train machine learning or AI models, or for any purpose beyond what is needed to provide the integration features described above.
For full details on how we handle your data, see our Privacy policy.
