Connecting Annature to FYI takes a few minutes. The video below walks through the full setup, including the recommended settings we'd suggest enabling. The written summary below mirrors the same steps if you'd prefer to read along.
You'll need:
An Annature account with access to Settings > Developers to generate an API key. You must be an Administrator or the Owner of your Annature organisation.
An FYI account with permission to manage integrations in Automation > Apps.
Have both accounts open in separate tabs — you'll move between them briefly during this process.
In Annature, go to Settings > Developers.
Click Create new key in the top-right.
Give the key a name (for example, "FYI") and click Create.
Copy the ID and Key values — you'll paste these into FYI in the next step.
Notes: Treat your Annature API key like a password. Don't share it or paste it anywhere outside FYI.
In FYI, go to Automation > Apps.
Find Annature in the list of available apps.
Click the settings cog next to Annature.
Paste the ID and Key you copied from Annature into the relevant fields.
Save your settings.
Once saved, the integration is connected and ready to use.
While you're on the Annature settings page in FYI, we recommend enabling the following two options:
Import signing certificate — automatically syncs the certificate of completion back to FYI alongside the signed document. This gives you a complete audit trail filed against the client without any manual upload.
Assign documents to individual users — assigns each synced signed document to the FYI user who initiated the signing request. This keeps ownership clear when multiple team members are sending documents.
Both are off by default. We strongly recommend turning them on so you get the full benefit of the integration.
Once connected, you can start sending documents from FYI to Annature. See Sending documents from FYI for the full workflow.
