Standalone AML & CTF screening is designed for scenarios where a full identity verification isn't required — most commonly, for existing clients you've worked with for years where redoing full identity verification isn't practical or necessary.
For reporting entities, this is the right approach for most existing-client CDD workflows. Run the screening check to establish a baseline for each client, enrol them in ongoing monitoring (free), and get notified if anything changes.
For new clients where you need to verify identity end-to-end, use a full identity verification instead.
In the left-hand navigation, click Identity verification 2.0.
Click the AML & CTF screening tab.

You'll see a list of every screening check in your organisation — both standalone checks and those run as part of a full identity verification.
Each row shows:
Name — the individual's full name.
Email — the individual's email address.
Status — In progress or Completed.
Outcome — Pass or Flagged.
Ongoing monitoring — Enabled or Disabled.
Created — when the check was created.
Notes: Ongoing monitoring is enabled by default on every new AML & CTF screening check. You'll typically only see checks marked as Disabled if they were originally completed in the Annature 1.0 product before ongoing monitoring became the default.
Use the search bar to find a specific screening, or click Open to review a check in detail.
Click Create check in the top-right. Enter the following:

Full name — the individual's name.
Email address — used for record-keeping (the individual is not contacted).
Date of birth — used to sharpen screening results.
Address — used to sharpen screening results.
Nationality or citizenship — optional. Providing this narrows down the results and reduces false-positive matches.
Country of birth — optional. Providing this narrows down the results and reduces false-positive matches.
Notes: Standalone screening doesn't send anything to the individual — you're running the check on their behalf against public and third-party data sources. Because we can't ask the individual for these details (as we would in a full identity verification), country of birth and nationality are collected from you, the sender. You don't have to provide them, but the more you supply, the more precise the results.
Choose whether the screening is available to your whole organisation (default) or restricted to a specific group.
Ongoing monitoring is enabled by default and is free for the next 10 years. When enabled, we continue to check the individual against sanctions and PEP lists after the initial screening — if anything changes, you're notified automatically.
Click Create to run the screening. Checks typically complete in seconds.
Once the check completes, you can review the outcome and any potential matches in the screening detail view.
