When someone sends you an envelope through Annature, you will receive a notification via email or SMS with a link to review and sign the documents. This article covers the full signing experience, including accessing the envelope, adopting your signature, and completing or declining the process.
Via email:
Open the email from Annature and click Review documents. You will be redirected to the envelope in your browser.

Via SMS:
Open the text message on your phone and tap the link. You will be redirected to a mobile-optimised version of the envelope.

If the sender has enabled additional security, you may be prompted to authenticate before you can access the documents:
Password — Enter the password provided to you by the sender and click Proceed.
Two-factor authentication (2FA) — Click Send code, then enter the six-digit code sent to your mobile number and click Continue.
Once you have accessed the envelope, you will see the documents and have the option to review them or decline. Click Review document to proceed.

After reviewing, click Click to begin (or Begin on mobile) in the upper right corner to start completing the required fields.
The Click to begin button will automatically navigate you through each required field. Depending on how the sender has prepared the documents, you may encounter a variety of field types including signature fields, text fields, checkboxes, dropdown selections, date fields, and file upload fields. Simply complete each field as prompted — the page will guide you through them in order.

When you reach a signature field, click on it to open the signature adoption modal. You can create your signature using one of the following methods:
Pre-made — Choose from generated signatures based on your name.
Draw — Draw your signature using your mouse, trackpad, or touch screen.
Upload — Upload an image of your signature (on desktop) or take a photo using your phone's camera (on mobile).

Once you are happy with your signature, click Adopt signature. Your signature will be placed on the document and saved for any remaining signature fields.
After all required fields have been completed, click Finish signing (or Finish on mobile) in the upper right corner.
You will see a confirmation message that the document has been completed. Once all recipients have finished their roles, you will receive an email with the signed documents and a certificate of completion attached.
If you need to decline an envelope, you can do so at two points:
Before reviewing — After clicking Review documents, click Decline and provide a reason.
After reviewing — If you have already begun reviewing, click Actions > Decline envelope and provide a reason.

The sender will be notified of your decision along with the reason you provided.
